Patient Insurance Information
Insurance coverage for an eye appointment can be confusing because there are two types of insurance; health insurance and vision insurance. Health insurance usually covers eye exams for patients with diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, or other medical diagnosis that deal directly with the eyes. Vision insurance usually pays for a vision exam and eye glasses or contact lenses needed to correct vision. Many of our patients have both health and vision insurance and our office will bill each separately for the appropriate professional services.
Payment is expected at the time of service. Premier Eye Care Group accepts cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards. Please come prepared to pay anything not covered by insurance such as co-pays and deductibles. Contact lens patients are annually charged for a Contact Lens Evaluation or Contact Lens Fitting as well as an eye exam. Please feel free to call our insurance department at 717-234-2413 with any questions, or fax us at 717.232.2997.
